EMPOWERING GIRLS THROUGH A HEALTHY JOURNEY FROM PUBERTY TO WOMANHOOD
Woodmill Corporate Center, Wilmington, DE 19808

Jacqueline Charmane - Founder & Program Director
Certified Grief Counselor and Suicide Interventionist
Jacqueline Charmane is a visionary educator, author, and designer whose life’s work is rooted in a legacy of nurturing, refinement, and empowerment. Inspired by her late mother’s passion for helping girls grow into confident, graceful women, Jacqueline began her journey at just five years old as the youngest member of her small-town 4-H club. There, she learned essential life skills—sewing, cooking, cleaning, and etiquette—that would later shape her mission and career.
After graduating from college, Jacqueline launched The JC Collection, a fashion design business that also became a platform for her literary voice. Under this brand, she authored seven realistic fiction books featuring her registered character, Chickypooh, tackling critical topics such as abstinence (Don’t Blame It On The Kitty) and domestic violence (The Bully Who Sleeps With My Mommy).
Jacqueline’s commitment to emotional wellness and education led her to pursue specialized training in suicide intervention through ASIST in 2015 and to become a Certified Grief Counselor (GC-C) through the American Institute of Health Care Professionals in 2021. That same year, she began using her book PU! What’s That Smell to teach hygiene to young girls—a program that expanded internationally to St. Vincent Island in 2023.
This international outreach marked the official launch of Becoming Esther, a transformative program that has since grown to serve over 170 registered girls. As Founder and Program Director, Jacqueline continues to lead with creativity, compassion, and a deep belief in the power of mentorship and self-worth.

What We Do
At Becoming Esther, Inc., we recognize a critical and growing concern: the underdevelopment of girls due to a lack of knowledge and understanding of their own genetic and feminine identity. In a world where many young girls turn to unauthorized and often harmful sources for guidance, the result is a generation navigating womanhood with confusion, misinformation, and unmet emotional and developmental needs.
We exist to change that narrative.
Becoming Esther is built on a foundation of genuine love for feminine development. We provide a sincere, compassionate, and structured pathway for girls to grow with confidence, clarity, and pride in who they are. Our programs guide them through the essential stages of life—puberty, adolescence, and maturity—into an empowered and exceptional womanhood.
Through comprehensive training, culturally relevant resources, and strategic partnerships, we offer a trusted alternative to traditional models of feminine development. Our impact is seen in the lives of over 170 registered girls who are now equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support to embrace their identity without regret and with purpose.
At Becoming Esther, we don’t just prepare girls for womanhood—we help them become women of strength, dignity, and vision.
